Evening Edition: Senators Want To Declassify TikTok Intel
A bipartisan group of Senators, who attended a closed door national security meeting, say the public should also be aware of the classified information they have on the influence and reach of TikTok. The meeting follows the House’s recent passage of a bill that requires TikTok to divest or see itself banned in the United States. The Senators say they are very concerned with the amount of personal data TikTok shares with the Chinese government.
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Jake Denton, Research Associate in the Tech Policy Center at The Heritage Foundation, about what could have possibly been said to cause the Senators to become so concerned.
