Evening Edition: Better Than Expected Jobs Report, Is It Believable?

The January jobs report showed that over 350K jobs were added last month, above the 180K jobs expected, but wage inflation did rise and labor force participation has declined. Also, planned layoffs did jump 136% from December with the layoffs mostly impacting tech and finance industries. Now we wait to see if the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates at its next meeting in March.
