Bob Vander Plaats, President and CEO of The Family Leader, spoke to Brian Kilmeade about why he has endorsed Ron DeSantis for president. Vander Plaats says it is time to turn the page to the next generation leader with DeSantis. Plaats detailed how DeSantis has been better organized for a caucus ground game in Iowa and has all the key endorsements and support in Iowa to win. Vander Plaats also looked back at Donald Trump’s track record as president with evangelicals. Vander Plaats agreed that Trump produced for evangelicals, citing appointing three Supreme Court Justices who helped overturn Roe v Wade, but says he is not the same guy. Vander Plaats points to Trump throwing pro-lifers under the bus after the mid-terms saying the heartbeat bill was too harsh. Vander Plaats believes if voters are into principle, they will vote DeSantis, if they are into personality, they will vote Trump.
