Co-Anchor of “America’s Newsroom” Bill Hemmer joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on the re-emergence of mask mandates in certain parts of the country that are experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases.
“With regard to COVID, if this thing comes back, I think it’d be very interesting to see how the country reacts to it. I’ve already seen some of these elementary schools in Maryland phoned the parents and said, we’ve got three cases here. Every kid is required to wear a mask for the next ten days. And I don’t know, I stopped there and I think, what have we learned over the last three years? What was that all worth? Because we’re vaccinated twice. Some of us are boosted. I am. Some people are boosted twice, like the first lady. And some people have had COVID twice on top of that. So what’s this all about? It seems to me that we’re back on square one. And the benefit for those who get COVID now is the drug Paxlovid. And that’s what you need if you’re an adult and you need help and you get really sick.”
