Utah Republican Congressman Chris Stewart joins Fox Across America With guest host Jason Chaffetz to share his reaction to California Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff’s claim that the release of Special Counsel John Durham’s report on the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation revealed the probe was “flawed”.
“The one thing Adam Schiff will be remembered for, and it’s unfortunate but it’s true, the one thing he will be remembered for is that he was a liar, that he lied to the American people again and again and again for years and years. And it wasn’t just that he was wrong. It’s not that he made a mistake. You know, he didn’t miscalculate and go, well, you know, I saw this and it just wasn’t true. No, he knew what he was saying wasn’t true. And by the way, those of us who sat on the Intelligence Committee at the time, those of us who were conducting the Russian investigation, and then the first impeachment and then the second impeachment, we knew that he was lying. And we told people, we told the media, you guys are being duped. You guys are being strung along. You are listening to and believing a liar without any evidence. But see, that’s why Adam could do that, because he could allude to well, you know, we see the evidence down on the Intel Committee, but he even said, well, I can’t really talk about it. Well, the reason he couldn’t talk about it was because it didn’t exist and he knew it didn’t exist. So Adam can say what he wants about the Durham investigation. But Durham concluded the same thing that Mueller did and the same thing that the FBI IG did, and that is that Director Comey and McCabe and Peter Strzok and Lisa Page and a whole bunch of other malicious, dishonest, unprofessional FBI agents lied to and deceived the American people. But we’ve known that for years now.”
