Rep. Greg Steube: Americans Are Smart Enough To Know The Economy Is Not Booming

Florida Republican Congressman Greg Steube joins Fox Across America With guest host Harry Hurley to push back on the assertion by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre that the U.S. is stronger economically than we have been in history.

“They’ve lied so much to the American people over the years that they think that the mainstream media and everybody else is just going to push that soundbite out there and all the Americans, we’re just going to believe what the White House press secretary is saying. Yet we’re smart enough to know. The majority of Americans realize that when they go to the gas pump and just fill up, which I just did, and couldn’t even fill up my entire truck for 150 bucks, when they go to the grocery store, when they go to Lowe’s, when they go to all these places to buy everyday goods or just go to a restaurant to eat with their family, they realize the costs of things have gone up by 17 percent, 20 percent, 35 percent, depending on what commodity you’re talking about. And you’re starting to see the real estate market come down. You’re starting to see, I believe, when you see the quarterly earnings numbers from big companies, they’re not going to be good. They’re not going to meet expectations. They’re going to start laying people off. We are in an economic crisis. It’s going to continue under this administration. And it is directly related to the decision that a Democratic led Congress has made and this administration has made. So they can say whatever they want from the podium at the White House press office, but the American people are smart enough to know that the economy is not booming, the economy is not great, and unemployment is not great.”

Plus, Rep. Steube tells Harry the Democrats are about to pay the political price in November for the Biden administration’s ineffective policies. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
