Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) spoke with Brian Kilmeade about the bipartisan group of senators working on infrastructure legislation which includes money for roads, bridges and highways as well as some things that President Biden wants. Cassidy says there are 21 senators who have signed onto initial framework. Cassidy explained how they would also be redirecting dollars toward infrastructure that was initially allocated for covid relief that is no longer needed. Cassidy says so far the only two senators that have come out against this are Senators Bernie Sanders & Elizabeth Warren. Cassidy believes the reason Sanders & Warren are against the framework is because they want the trillion dollars for things that have nothing to do with infrastructure.

Senator Cassidy also weighed in on President Biden’s meeting with Vladimir Putin. Cassidy feels President Biden showed a lot of naiveté and failed to show Putin we will protect ourselves and that there will be a price to pay for cyber attacks.
