Johnny Joey Jones On His Veterans Day Skydive

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox Nation’s Johnny Joey Jones talks about his skydive with fellow veterans to celebrate Veterans Day 2020.

“It was really cold, so it was just hard to breathe because you’re in altitude and it’s hard to breathe, just like it took your breath away. But the phases of skydiving are awesome. So there’s that getting on the plane and riding the plane up and most places you skydive, the plane is not like a nice jet. It’s got like things are shaking and you can see our cracks. So that’s how these things are made. And they just kind of spiral up about two miles, thirteen thousand feet in the air. Then they open a door and you’re realizing OK, I’m not going back down in this plane and I’m not sure I want to. So I have to jump. And that’s the scariest part about it, once you’re out of the plane, it doesn’t feel like you’re falling. It feels like you’re riding in the car and you stick your head out the window, the wind in your face, like you don’t feel gravity, you feel the wind. And then once you pull your cord, once you pull your chute, and it catches and everything goes right, then you’re just floating. If you have a fear of height, that doesn’t come in. I can’t walk out onto the Eiffel Tower in Vegas, which is half the size of real one. It scares me, but I can skydive all day long, like heights are never part of it. And then when you land, that’s when the adrenaline comes back and it’s like, oh, well, I just did that.”
