Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) joined the Brian Kilmeade Show today to discuss the Justice Department’s report concerning the Russia investigation & the latest on the impeachment hearings. Sen. Cotton addressed House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s remarks during a press conference this morning, saying he is “one of the most dishonest members of Congress” and he, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi are in a rush to impeach President Donald Trump before Christmas because “he committed the unforgivable sin of beating Hillary Clinton.”

Sen. Cotton also addressed former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter being paid $80,000 a month by Ukrainian company Burisma, saying it was an immediate conflict of interest and the oligarch “was paying for protection that comes with the last name Biden.”

Regarding interference in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election, Sen. Cotton said,

“Russia interfered in our elections in a organized, systematic and top down way. If they would like to learn more about that they can read the report that I coauthored as a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee about that very interference.” He also said that although Ukrainian interference “was not systematic and was not top down in the way that Russia’s interference was, that does not mean it didn’t happen.”

Sen. Cotton also shared that he does not believe that President Trump’s actions warrant impeachment, and he would even predict that “both in the House and in the Senate more Democrats will vote with us than Republicans voting against the President.”
