Some numbers are more important than others. Fox’s Chad Pergram explains in today’s “Speaker’s Lobby.”

I’m Chad Pergram with the Speaker’s Lobby.

Former FBI Director James Comey returns to Capitol Hill on December 17th for a second closed door conclave with members of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees.

Comey recently met for more than six hours behind closed doors with lawmakers and investigators.

Republicans touted that fact that on 245 occasions, Comey answered “I don’t remember” or “I don’t know” and even “I don’t recall” when facing questions.

The 245 number may be an interesting factoid. But a more prescient number may be “four.” As in the investigation of “four Americans” who Comey says “had some connection to Mr. Trump during the summer of 2016.”

There’s another key number in this saga as well.

115. As in the 115th Congress. Democrats take over control on January 3rd. That’s the start of the 116th Congress.

And a Democratic House will approach alleged election interference and the testimony of James Comey in a very different fashion from Republicans who are in the majority for only a few more weeks.
