Twitter permanently bans conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and Infowars for abusive behavior. FOX’s Krystin Goodwin explains.
Twitter suspending radio host Alex Jones and his Infowars account for good, citing harassing messages which violate its policies against violence and hate speech.
Twitter safety posting:
Today, we permanently suspended @realalexjones and @infowars from Twitter and Periscope. We took this action based on new reports of Tweets and videos posted yesterday that violate our abusive behavior policy, in addition to the accounts’ past violations. https://t.co/gckzUAV8GL

Last month when Apple, Facebook and Google’s YouTube banned Jones for violating polices on hate speech, Twitter did not take action, explaining at the time Jones’ accounts hadn’t violated community guidelines.
Twitter later suspended him for a week. The permanent Twitter ban means Jones will not be able to recreate a presence under another account.
His accounts were also pulled from Twitter-owned Periscope.
