Day two of questioning for Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh… and Fox’s Jon Decker has the latest from Capitol Hill.
With speculation swirling regarding the Special Counsel’s Russia investigation, Senators on the Judiciary Committee want to know how Judge Kavanaugh views the power of the Presidency.
When questioned by Republican Utah Senator Mike Lee, Kavanaugh said that no one is above the law, not even the President.
(Kavanaugh) “The President is subject to all the Supreme Court precedent; And cases such as Clinton v. Jones and U.S. v. Nixon establishes those principles.”
During his confirmation hearing, Kavanaugh declined to say whether a a sitting President can be subpoenaed or whether it would be constitutional if a President pardoned himself.
