President Trump Leads the Way in Twitter Followers for Current World Leaders
President Trump is drawing lots of people to Twitter.
FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has more:
President Donald Trump has surpassed Pope Francis in number of Twitter followers, making the Commander in Chief the most followed current world leader on the site.
The President often voices his opinion on Twitter and has used the platform to talk government policy. Twitplomacy, the leading tracker of world leaders on Twitter, says the President took the top spot on its list, recently reaching 40 million followers.
The Pope, who has several Twitter handles, in different languages has about 39.5 million.
Twitplomacy’s list does not include former leaders like President Barack Obama, who has 95 million Twitter followers.
