More Men Are “Marrying Up”
An increasing number of men are “marrying up”.

Women are more likely to marry a less educated man and bring in more money into the relationship, that’s according to a new study from the University of Kansas.
It found women’s personal earnings have grown faster than men’s with their earnings stagnating. The study also found women are becoming more educated than men and husbands are less educated than their wives.
Meanwhile, a wife’s contribution to family income has substantially increased. The study’s researchers examined gender-specific changes in financial return on education among people 35-44 years old and used U.S. census data from 1990 and 2000 and the 2009-2011 American Community Survey.
