Super-Skinny Models Banned by French Fashion Giants

Some fashion powerhouses sending the message that ultra thin models are out.

    FOX’s Lilian Woo reports:

Size zero models out of fashion at some very high end fashion labels. French luxury conglomerates LVMH and Kering which between them own Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Christian Dior among others joining forces with a charter to ban what they say are unhealthily thin models in order to protect their well being.

The charter incorporates a new French law coming into effect October that requires all models to provide medical certificates proving they are healthy to work.

The charter also bans the conglomerates brands from using female models below a French size 34, that’s about a U.S. size two or four.
