Amazon’s Being Sued Over Alleged Fake Eclipse Glasses
Amazon is being sued over eclipse glasses alleged to be faulty.
FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:
It was a big deal…
When the sun turned black they were watching the solar eclipse in Oregon. South Carolina as also a prime viewing spot, but afterward, a couple in Charleston got headaches, blurry vision and they blame the glasses they bought online calling them faulty.
So, Thomas Payne and Kayla Harris sued Amazon in federal court this week, accusing the retailer of negligence, claiming they never got an email notice Amazon sent out 11 days before the August eclipse of a recall of potentially hazardous glasses, telling customers not to use them.
Amazon declined to comment on a pending lawsuit.
