President Trump: We Need Tax Code That’s Simple, Fair & Easy to Understand

President Donald Trump is pushing for tax code that is simple, fair and easy to understand.

Speaking to factory workers in Springfield, the President laid out a vision that includes cutting taxes for both individuals and businesses:

(President Trump) “I’m calling on Congress to provide a level playing field for our workers and our companies. To attract new companies and businesses to our shores and to put more money into the pockets of everyday hard-working people.”

The White House would like to pass comprehensive tax reform by the end of this year and the President called on Democrats to join Republicans in that effort.

House Speaker Ryan tweeting afterwards Congress is committed to working with him to simplify the tax code.
