Highlights from Gamescom 2017

    A wrap up of some of the biggest news to come out of Germany’s Gamescom 2017.

    Gamescom 2017 in Germany is one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world. In attendance German Chancellor Angela Merkel who not only opened the gathering of developers and gamers, praising gaming by saying:
    “Computer and video games are of the utmost importance as cultural assets, as a driving force for innovation and as an economic factor, which is why I was also very pleased to come to Cologne to provide this developing industry with my recommendation,” and enjoyed a rousing game of Farming Simulator by maker GIANTS Software.

    One of the biggest announcements a crossover between both developers SquareEnix, and Ubisoft mixing two very famous franchises: ‘Final Fantasy 15’ and ‘Assassin’s Creed’:

    Game-maker Blizzard announced multiple additions to their games.
    A new map for ‘Overwatch.’ A new hero for ‘Hearthstone’ and a new dungeon for ‘World of Warcraft’ and Electronic Arts ‘Star Wars Battlefront II’:

    Released a trailer highlighting the dog fights in space that make the franchise so famous.
