Sec. of State Tillerson Visits Asian Countries in Hopes of Rounding Up Allies to Halt NOKO

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is hoping Asian countries will help enforce the sanctions against North Korea.

Secretary Tillerson visiting Thailand and Malaysia, hoping to round up allies in U.S. efforts to halt North Korea’s nuclear ambitions. Tillerson urging Thai leaders to get tougher with Kim Jong-un’s regime, specifically curbing business connections, by shutting down North Korean front companies; And also urging Thailand to take in more North Korean refugees.

At a summit in the Philippines, Secretary Tillerson welcoming new sanctions agreed by the U.N. Security Council, including China. But he said the U.S. will be watching to see if the penalties are actually enforced.
