After Thursday’s decision to grant O.J. Simpson parole, he is set to be released this October. Gregg Jarrett told Tom Shillue that the parole board was wrong to do this because of the famous football star’s controversial and violent past.

During The Tom Shillue Show on Thursday, Tom was joined by Fox News anchor and former attorney Gregg Jarrett. Gregg reacted to the unanimous decision by the four Nevada parole board members to grant Simpson parole.

Simpson is currently serving the ninth year of what was originally a 33-year prison sentence for a 2007 armed robbery incident in Las Vegas. While the crime Simpson was actually convicted for may not have warranted a 33-year sentence, Gregg feels as though his past actions, including a history of violence, should have been taken into account by the parole board members.

Simpson was found not guilty of murdering his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in the famous 1995 “The People vs. O.J. Simpson” murder trial. Like many people, Gregg believes that the jury on that trial clearly got it wrong, as the evidence against him was overwhelming. Additionally, Greg pointed out that, even after being acquitted of murder, Simpson did things that prove that he is a threat to society. Some examples of his past violent behavior include a road rage incident and multiple domestic violence incidents involving Nicole Brown Simpson.

Tom and Gregg both agreed that despite the jury’s decision in 1995, Simpson definitely murdered his ex-wife and Goldman. Gregg thinks that the parole board was clearly wrong in deciding to grant Simpson parole in the armed robbery case because he has a history of violence and has not actually changed his ways over the years.
