McConnell: There Will Be a Vote on Health Care Debate

President Trump invited Republican Senators to the White House for lunch and a strategy session on moving forward on a health care bill.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there will be a vote next week to start debate on a health care bill:

(McConnell) “I think we all agree it’s better to repeal and replace, but we could have a vote on either.”

McConnell had announced a vote to move forward on a repeal-only measure. President Trump is pushing Senators on a repeal-and-replace plan. So far, neither pathway has secured the required 50 votes:

(Cassidy) “Anything that provides momentum is helpful. And I think he did.”
