The Swamp is deep in Washington. And Eric Bolling says that’s the reason why the Republicans are trying to pass such a bad replacement for ObamaCare.

During The Tom Shillue Show on Tuesday, Tom talked with New York Times best-selling author and co-host of The Fox News Specialists Eric Bolling. Eric discussed his new book, The Swamp, which chronicles the history of corruption in Washington DC.

Eric talked about how deregulation and getting rid of lobbyists are the best ways to “drain the swamp”, as detailed in his book. This is what President Trump promised to do back when he was running for president. According to Eric, he has done a good job following through on this promise.

But when it comes to the swamp: you can’t blame all of Washington D.C.’s problems on Democrats and their lobbyists. Money is corrupting politicians on the right side of the aisle too.

In Eric’s view, the best example of the money’s influence are the Republicans’ recent attempts to reform healthcare. He says the bill that the GOP Is trying to get passed in the Senate looks too much like Obamacare and the lobbyists are responsible for this.

Bolling told Tom hopes the Senate’s latest health care bill fails. He’d rather see Republicans let Obamacare fail on its own. That way, Democrats will have to suffer the consequences in the 2018 midterm elections.

As far as the now infamous meeting that Donald Trump Jr. had with a Russian lawyer last summer, Eric said that Trump Jr. and the other Trump associates at the meeting did nothing illegal.
