The media is still talking about Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 Presidential Election. Tom Shillue does not think that meeting was that big of a deal, and his guest Tucker Carlson agreed.
During The Tom Shillue Show on Monday, Tom talked about the latest controversy surrounding the Trump family and Russia. The New York Times reported that Trump Jr. and other Trump Campaign associates met with a Russian lawyer last summer. The lawyer reportedly promised to reveal dirt on Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
One of Tom’s guest during the show was Tucker Carlson, the host of Tucker Carlson Tonight. Tucker could not see why Trump Jr.’s meeting with the Russian lawyer was that out of the ordinary. He said that every campaign meets with people who might have compromising information on their opponent.
Tucker also shared his thoughts on President Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the G-20 Summit last week. He said that he does not think that President Trump is a very good negotiator. Tucker thinks that it is important for the United States and Russia to work together when it comes to countries like China and Saudi Arabia. In this sense, Putin is not our enemy.
