Paul: GOP Lawmakers are Going Back on Campaign Promises about Health Care

With nine Republicans standing in opposition, a Senate health care bill has been tabled until after the July 4th recess.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Senator Rand Paul, who wants a clean repeal, says GOP lawmakers are going back on campaign promises:

(Paul) “Went to rally after rally after rally saying we’re going to repeal ObamaCare, and now we’re not repealing it. We’re keeping it.”

Some moderate Republicans are concerned about rolling back Medicaid and millions becoming uninsured.

Senator John Thune says Republicans need to find:

(Thune) “That sweet spot where you can get the 50 votes that you need to pass it.”

President Trump has said he remains hopeful about the Senate bill.
