White House Issues Warning to Bashar al-Assad Regime
The Russian government responds to a warning from ours, that the Syrian military is planning a chemical weapons attack.
FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:
Two months after President Trump responded to a Syrian chemical weapons attack by launching 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase, the White House said U.S. officials have identified possible preparations for a similar attack by the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
In a statement by the Press Secretary, the White House warned that if Assad conducts another mass murder attack using chemical weapons, he and his military will pay a heavy price.
No response from Assad, but a Kremlin spokesman said a U.S. threat of a further strike against Syria was “unacceptable.”
