HBO's "Last Week Tonight" host and the cable network is being sued by a coal company.

FOX's Michelle Pollino reports:

John Oliver, host of "Last Week Tonight" is being sued alongside his network by a coal-mining company, Murray Energy over last Sunday's show, in which Oliver took on the coal industry and President Donald Trump's efforts to revive it.

The company says HBO and Oliver produced a "false and malicious broadcast" and even though they were warned ahead of time not to proceed by the company or they will face legal action. They went ahead anyway and made fun of "Murray Energy's" CEO Robert Murray:

(Oliver) "Bob Murray looks like a geriatric Dr. Evil".

An HBO spokesman says the show didn't violate Murray Energy's rights or those of Murray.
