President Trump’s Lawyer: Not Aware of Any Investigation
A member of the President’s legal team says he’s not under investigation.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Jay Sekulow, one of the President’s lawyers, made the rounds on the Sunday shows, telling FOX News Sunday that President Trump is not personally under investigation, in spite of some tweets that suggested otherwise:
(Sekulow) “Let me be crystal clear so you understand. We have not received nor are we aware of any investigation of the President of the United States.”
The President tweeted last week: “I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt.”
Sekolow says the tweet was in response to a Washington Post story that ran with five unnamed sources.
