Commerce Department Releases Retail Sales for May
No spending spree in May.
FOX’s Ginny Kosola explains:
Americans were not spending as much last month. Retail sales in May were at the weakest pace in 16 months, down 3/10’s of a percent. Economists were expecting sales to increase slightly.
Fewer new cars and trucks were sold and gasoline were lower, but internet sales in May increased 8/10’s of percent.
