Schumer Reacts to Comey Testimony: “The American People Deserve to Know the Truth”

Reaction is beginning to roll in to the testimony of ousted FBI Director James Comey before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Asked about James Comey’s testimony that President Trump wanted him to drop the investigation into Michael Flynn and took it as a “directive,” House Speaker Paul Ryan pointed out President is new new to the job:

(Ryan) ”He probably wasn’t steeped in the long-running protocols that establish the relationships between DOJ, FBI and White Houses.”

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer spoke earlier on the Senate floor:

(Schumer) ”The U.S. Senate and by extension the American people deserve to know the truth about Mr. Comey’s interactions with the President.”

Donald Trump, Jr. tweeted: “Knowing my father for 39 years when he ‘orders or tells’ you to do something there is no ambiguity, you will know exactly what he means”.
