The Eagles Retool Lineup for Classic East & West Concerts, Make a Call to Vince Gill

Summer is almost here, and that means a season of hot concerts.

FOX’s Laura Ingle has more in “Bonus Track”:

The summer concert season will soon be in full swing and one of the biggest shows this year is the Classic West & East Festivals, which will feature The Eagles, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth Wind & Fire over the course of a two-day bill.

The Eagles have had some big shoes to fill with the passing of founding member Glenn Frey last year and are now calling on his family and a special friend to help fill the void, announcing country music star Vince Gill and Glenn Frey’s son Deacon will join the band for the special East-West shows and will divvy up lead vocals on the songs Glenn Frey sang with the band. Vince Gill says he’s often thought he would of made a good Eagle and Don Henley says bringing in Deacon was his idea, adding, “this was the perfect way to do this.”

Classic West kicks off at Dodgers Stadium July 15 & 16, which will be followed by Classic East at Citi Field in New York, July 29 & 30.
