President Trump Announces Air Traffic Control Plan: It Will Get You There “On Time”

President Trump introducing a major change to air traffic control in the United States Monday.

FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:

With dozens of members of Congress on hand, President Trump announced his plan to privatize America’s air traffic control system, arguing the federal agency is too “antiquated” to innovate:

(President Trump) “Our plan will get you where you need to go more quickly, more reliably, more affordably, and yes for the first time in a long time, on time.”

The President wants to turn the air traffic control system into a non-profit organization that operates on fees paid by airlines and others that use U.S. airspace, instead of taxes. The plan still must be approved by Congress.
