The Finale of ‘Shots Fired’
FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin learns about tonight’s anticipated finale and the larger message of the FOX series “Shots Fired” from one of the show’s leading ladies in this “FOX TV Profile”:
I’m Ashley Dvorkin with your FOX TV profile.
The FOX series ‘Shots Fired’ is set to end tonight with a finale that actress Sanaa Lathan says will bring out a lot of emotions:
(Lathan) “There is definitely those wow moments and yet, you might have to get out the tissues because there are some sock you in your gut moments.”
The show has revolved around two racially charged shootings in one small town. Lathan says audiences have been part of a bigger conversation:
(Lathan) “It seems to be connecting with people not only on the entertainment side but also in terms of getting that dialogue started about these issues that are going on in our country.”
She adds that this aspect has been a very rewarding part of her job:
(Lathan) “Hopefully it will get people talking, hopefully it will create empathy and compassion and enlighten us on the fact that we are a human race and that we are all in this together. I mean that’s my hope.”
