President Trump Signs Bill to Improve Veterans Health Care
President Trump signed a bill that gives veterans more choices when it comes to health care.
FOX’s Carole Zimmer reports:
The bill extends the choice program which gives veterans access to private-sector health care. It’s designed to provide services while the veterans administration develops a longer term plan.
David Shulkin is the Secretary of Veterans Affairs:
(Shulkin) “This is a good day for Veterans. This is a great day to celebrate, not only what Veterans have contributed to the country, but how we’re making things better for them. And by working together, we’re going to continue this progress.”
Next Thursday, Dr. Shulkin and President Trump will hold a news conference to give an update on the progress made in reforming the Veterans Administration.
