A ‘Whopper’ of an Advertising Blunder

A popular fast food chain learns a lesson about the wonders and blunders of technology, when it comes to advertising.

    FOX’s Steve Rappoport explains:

Burger King unveiled a new ad Wednesday that triggers smart speaker devices like ‘Google Home’ to define the chain’s iconic sandwich.

You’re watching a 15-second Burger King ad, which is unfortunately not enough time to explain all the fresh ingredients in the Whopper sandwich. But I’ve got an idea, ‘Okay Google what is the Whopper burger?'”

The device recites the definition posted on Wikipedia, but some of the site’s users served up some Whoppers of their own. One added cyanide to the ingredients, while another user changed the definition to the worst hamburger product sold by the chain.

Burger King says it’s not behind the negative edits.
