America’s Most Popular Dogs
America’s most popular dog extends its streak.
FOX’s Pam Puso has more:
Americans love their labs. For the 26th straight year, Labrador retrievers are the most popular dog breed:
(DiNardo) “Family friendly, they’re easy to care for. They have lots of energy. They are super great to live in the house.”
Gina DiNardo is vice president of the American Kennel Club. Coming in second in 2016: German shepherds:
(DiNardo) “They are the most probably versatile breed that there is. They are so courageous.”
Golden retrievers in third, followed by Bulldogs:
(DiNardo) “Number five is the Beagle. They are friendly. They are energetic.”
Gaining ground: The Rottweiler. Its ranking at number eight is its highest in almost 20 years.
