Senate Intelligence Committee: No Indications Trump Tower was Wiretapped

Another Congressional panel says it’s seen no evidence of wiretapping at Trump Tower.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

The Senate Intelligence Committee has no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the U.S. government before or after Election Day, the committee’s Republican chairman and Democratic Vice Chair saying that in a joint-statement.

Top members of the House Intelligence Committee offered a similar conclusion this week and House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters:

(Ryan) “We’ve cleared that up. That we’ve seen no evidence of that.”

President Trump accused his predecessor of wiretapping Trump Tower, citing press reports. The administration then asked Congress to investigate.
