House Republicans Release Text of ObamaCare Replacement Bill

Republicans reveal a plan to repeal key parts of the Affordable Care Act.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

The House Republican plan is called the American Health Care Act and if passed, would do away with the individual and employer insurance mandates and by next year, scrap taxes and subsidies, instead offering tax credits and expanded contributions to health savings accounts.

The bill would keep some ObamaCare protections for pre-existing conditions and for children to stay on their parents’ health insurance, and until 2020 states can continue to sign up people for expanded medicaid coverage for low-income Americans.

FOX is told key Committees could start work this week and next with a GOP goal of a final vote in the Senate before the Easter recess.
