A.G. Jeff Sessions is Focused on Reducing Crimes & Supporting Police Officers

The new Attorney General says reducing violent crime, and supporting police officers are among his top priorities. Jeff Sessions made his first policy speech to state attorneys general in Washington Tuesday.

    FOX’s Malini Wilkes reports:

The Attorney General is sounding the alarm about a recent spike in violent crime rates that he blames on drugs:

(Sessions) “And the crime does tend to follow drug use. If anybody’s observed history, they know that’s true.”

Jeff Sessions announced the formation of a new inter-agency task force on crime reduction and he promised support and recognition for police officers on the streets:

(Sessions) “We’ve undermined the respect for our police and made, often times, their job more difficult.”

The Attorney General also says he will take stronger action to deport illegal immigrants who’ve committed crimes.
