The Gulf Shores High School Marching Band was getting ready to play the Mardi Gras parade in town in Alabama when a parade van into them, injuring 12 members, as young as 12 and as old as 17:

(Delmore) “It was not involving drugs or alcohol. Nor is there any indication that this was an intentional act. Every indication is just that it was a tragic accident by an elderly man.”

Gulf Shores police chief Edward Delmore. Four of the kids are in critical condition. The parade has been cancelled.
