Country Singer Eric Church Cancels 25K Tickets Bought by Scalpers

A country star is taking on ticket scalpers.

FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:

Eric Church has often spoken out against ticket scalpers, but now Church is doing something about it. The country star cancelled 25,000 tickets to his spring tour that were purchased by scalpers and is putting them back on sale for fans to purchase.

The ‘Mr. Misunderstood’ singer says, “scalpers use fake credit cards, fake id’s. It’s all fraud.” The tickets will be re-issued Tuesday.

Last year a report by the New York Attorney General cited a single broker bought over 1,000 tickets in a minute to a U2 concert, despite the vendor’s claim of a four-ticket limit. At the end of the day that broker and one other had 15,000 tickets.
