President Donald Trump has named a new National Security Adviser.
FOX's Jon Decker reports from the White House:
The President naming a career Army officer to take the post:
(President Trump) "So I just wanted to announce, we've been working all weekend, very diligently, very hard. That Gen. H.R. McMaster will become National Security Adviser."
McMaster, who served in the Persian Gulf War and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, is the director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center. The President called him a man of tremendous talent and experience.
Keith Kellogg, who has been serving as acting National Security Adviser, will return to his position of Chief of Staff for the National Security Council.
