Republicans Continue to Work on Scraping ObamaCare
Republicans in Congress say they’ll have a plan soon to scrap the Affordable Care Act.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:
Republican leaders intend to introduce legislation repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act after next week’s recess:
(Ryan) “We’re waiting for our scores.”
In other words, what impact it will have on the deficit, details House Speaker Paul Ryan did not offer after a closed-door session with House Republicans:
(Ryan) “We believe in a patient centered system where individuals have the freedom to buy what they want.”
Several Republican alternatives have been floated for years that include health care tax credits, Medicaid reform and health savings accounts. A package Democratic leaders say isn’t realistic.
