Another Kennedy Getting Into Politics

Another Kennedy looks to make his mark in politics.

    FOX’s Lilian Woo explains:

Chris Kennedy, the son of the late Senator and Attorney General Robert Kennedy, also the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy, announcing plans to run for Governor of Illinois in 2018.

The founder and leader of non-profit Top Box Foods in a video his campaign posted online saying his state has never been in worse shape:

(Kennedy) “There’s growing despair. There’s bewilderment. The state needs a change.”

In that video, the 53-year-old businessman doesn’t mention Republican Governor Bruce Rauner, but does say he believes in working with others.

In order for Kennedy to take Rauner on, he’ll first need to make it through the Democratic primary. Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar has already announced he’s seeking the nomination and other Democrats are also considering bids.
