Super Bowl Festivities in Houston
There is a lot of fun surrounding Super Bowl 51 between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons.
FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin fills you in:
(Lady Gaga) “This performance is for everyone. I want to more than anything, create a moment that everybody that’s watching will never forget.”
Super Bowl 51 isn’t just about the game, it’s also about the entertainment, celebrities and performances!
Including halftime with superstar performer Lady Gaga, but don’t expect her to reveal too much about what’s in store:
(Lady Gaga) “I don’t want to give away what songs I’m singing for the halftime show, cause I feel like it’s going to ruin the surprise. But we went through my whole career and chose songs that I hope that both the football fans and the people that are just tuning in for halftime will enjoy.”
Many have wondered if she’ll make any political statements during her performance:
(Lady Gaga) “The only statements that I’ll be making during the halftime show are the ones that I have been consistently making throughout my career. I believe in a passion for inclusion. I believe in the spirit of equality. And the spirit of this country as one of love, and compassion and kindness.”
Luke Bryan who will be performing the National Anthem says this is a milestone for him:
(Bryan) “It’ll be certainly be a highlight of my career, and my entertainment life to be able to walk out there and hopefully perform the anthem in the way that I’ve always dreamed I would do it.”
Another big line-up on game day is a pre-game party with Lady Antebellum, Tyler Farr, and O.A.R…
Of course it’s not just about Sunday! Houston is rocking out all week leading up to it with headliners at events including Sam Hunt, Bruno Mars, Fergie, and Taylor Swift!
There’s also the taste of the NFL’s ‘Party with a Purpose’ where The Band Perry will take the stage.
There’s music, food, and more at ‘Super Bowl Live’ downtown as just part of the many festivities taking place as the party that is Super Bowl 51 is in full swing.
