Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Reveals Some Presenters for 2017 Ceremony
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony has some major names.
FOX’s Laura Ingle has the details:
New details of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2017 induction ceremony reveal the Canadian rockers Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush will be the ones to induct YES.
Geddy Lee telling “Guitar World” magazine he was hugely influenced by late YES bassist Chris Squire, adding that the first time he heard YES, he was totally amazed and had never heard a bass player play so up front in the mix.
Neil Young will induct Pearl Jam. Many know the two acts are good friends and collaborators. Pearl Jam still performs “Rocking in the Free World” at their shows.
Rock Hall reps say the committee chooses presenters for each act by looking for connections and a deep appreciation so that the presenters can speak from the heart.
The Hall plans to announce who will induct Journey, ELO and others for the induction ceremony April 7 in New York.
