Report: Over 20 ISIS Members Killed in Syria
More than two dozen ISIS members reportedly have been killed in Syria.
FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:
FOX News has confirmed that the U.S.-led coalition on Sunday carried out a ground operation in eastern Syria aimed at capturing leaders of ISIS.
A Britain-based human rights group said that 25 ISIS members were killed in the operation. Another human-rights group, said two ISIS prisoners were freed, but neither report has been independently confirmed.
The U.S.-led coalition has in recent months targeted and killed a number of ISIS officials with drone strikes, but ground raids aimed at capturing leaders are rare.
A Pentagon spokesman said the U.S. will continue to pursue ISIS leaders wherever they are.
