Fiat Chrysler Investing $1 Billion in U.S. Manufacturing Facilities
Another automaker announces plans to return some automotive production to the states.

Fiat Chrysler says it will invest $1 billion in its U.S. manufacturing facilities, eventually creating 2,000 new jobs and returning production of a popular model of pickup from Mexico.
The plan announced Sunday includes retooling a plant Warren, Michigan so that it can produce RAM pickup trucks that are currently assembled in Mexico, and produce the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.
A plant in Toledo will be modernized to make a new Jeep Pickup,, some of them for export. The second phase of a modernization plan announced a year ago, should be completed and new the jobs added within three years.
