Suspected Russian Cyber-Attacks Interfering with U.S. Election to be Investigated

Congress will review what role Russian cyber-attacks may have played in the 2016 election.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says the Intelligence Committee will investigate suspected Russian cyber-attacks aimed at disrupting last month’s elections, telling reporters, any foreign interference cannot be a partisan issue:

(McConnell) “It defies belief that somehow Republicans in the Senate are reluctant to review Russian tactics or ignore them.”

Republican and Democratic leaders called for investigations of suspected Russian cyber-attacks, but the President-elect’s team has largely dismissed the CIA assessment as ridiculous.
