Bob Dylan Sends Speech to be Read at Nobel Prize Ceremony
He won’t be there in person. But Dob Dylan will be represented at the Noble Prize ceremony.
FOX’s Pat O’Neill has more:
The Nobel Prize academy announcing in a tweet that Bob Dylan has provided a speech to be read at the Nobel Banquet in Stockholm, Sweden, this Saturday.
And singer-songwriter Patti Smith will be there to perform singing Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall”…
After it was announced that Dylan was this year’s winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, there was no acknowledgement from Dylan for five days.
But the academy says he did write a letter saying he wishes he could receive the prize personally, but that other commitments make that impossible and that he’s incredibly honored. It isn’t clear who will read Dylan’s speech.
