National Toy Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016

The National Toy Hall of Fame has released the list of new inductees.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

What do Fisher-Price’s ‘Little People’, ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ and the swing have in common?

They’re the National Toy Hall of Fame’s “Class of 2016” inductees.

It’s a big honor for the ‘Little People’ toys, which had been finalists for the Toy Hall of Fame honor seven times before making it in.

‘Dungeons and Dragons’, the role-playing game which has been around since 1974, is credited with influencing popular electronic games.

The swing was recognized for its longevity over centuries. The three had faced stiff competition from other finalists, which included ‘Care Bears’, ‘Uno’, ‘Clue’, ‘Pinball’, and “Bubble Wrap’.

The Toy Hall of Fame is located at the Strong Museum in Rochester, New York.
